Annual Conference
Each year the North Carolina Native American Youth Organization hosts an annual conference at a college or university across the state of North Carolina! The conference is usually held the third or fourth weekend in June and lasts for 3 nights and 4 days!
PURPOSE
* To bring about UNITY among American Indian youth in North Carolina
* To provide an opportunity for American Indian youth, rising ninth graders and graduating seniors, and
the adults that work with them to share ideas, concerns and information
* To develop American Indian youth leadership and promote positive self-esteem
* To assist and inspire our youth toward a more productive life
* To expose youth to American Indian role models and issues that affect their lives
* To promote healthy lifestyles free of tobacco, alcohol and other drug abuse
* To expose American Indian youth to educational and career opportunities
